The term "synthetic poly" in the context of mesh generally refers to plastic. Poly mesh is essentially a plastic fabric with an open weave pattern.

Some poly mesh products feature a tighter weave than others. Usually, the less expensive the mesh, the more open the weave will be, resulting in less coverage. Conversely, denser mesh with more foil content tends to be heavier, offering better coverage but at a higher price.

Exposure to sunlight can cause all plastic products to fade. The rate at which a plastic or poly mesh product fades depends on the amount of exposure and various environmental factors.

It is challenging to predict how long a mesh product will retain its original color and shape.

Poly mesh products come in various sizes, including 2.5", 4", 10", and 21", and are available in numerous colors and combinations.

Solid Deco Poly Mesh (No Foil)

Solid Deco Poly Mesh is a single-colored mesh that lacks foil. It is available in various colors and widths. Made from synthetic poly material (plastic), it offers good moisture resistance but will fade when exposed to direct sunlight.

Two Tone Deco Poly Mesh

Two Tone Deco Poly Mesh is crafted from two different colors of poly and does not include foil. The weave is similar to that of solid poly mesh. An example is the Purple Haze, which combines red and lavender poly.

Metallic Foil Deco Poly Mesh

Metallic Foil Mesh might sometimes be listed as simply metallic foil or described as laser foil. Laser foil tends to be shinier and may be more costly. The foil strips are narrow and typically spaced less than half an inch apart, often giving a striped appearance. Colors can either match or differ from the poly mesh itself, and this variety is available in a range of solid colors and patterns, including stripes, plaids, and checks.

This deluxe type usually has more foil per roll, offering excellent coverage due to its density and lower transparency. Deluxe foils are available in a variety of solid colors and striped patterns.

This roll of red with a lime green strip features narrow strips of foil woven into each space of the poly weave.

Vertical Line Deco Poly Mesh

Note 1/4/21: This product is no longer manufactured.

Vertical Line Deco Poly Mesh is a poly-only product with no foil. Some strips are wider than others, giving it a nubby texture and better coverage than solid or two-tone mesh. Deco Paper Mesh

Deco Paper Mesh is paper-based but has a moisture-resistant coating. Due to its paper composition, it is best used indoors or in protected areas. Its thick weave gives it a burlap-like texture and appearance. This product comes in solid colors, checks, and combinations.

Poly Jute Mesh
