PTFE

PTFE, also known as polytetrafluoroethylene, is renowned for its exceptional chemical, electrical, mechanical, and thermal attributes, making it suitable for a variety of applications. This versatile material is commonly utilized in gasket and packaging materials for chemical processing equipment, providing excellent electrical insulation, and as components like bearings, seals, and piston rings in mechanical applications. Its anti-stick features make it particularly valuable in environments where adherence and friction are concerns. Beyond its impressive resistance to chemicals, heat, corrosion, and impact, PTFE is flexible, weather-resistant, compliant with FDA/USDA standards, non-flammable, and exhibits a low dielectric constant, ensuring performance even at low temperatures. My personal experience in the chemical manufacturing sector highlights how essential PTFE is for maintaining equipment longevity and safety.

You can find more information on our web, so please take a look.

PTFE Sheet

Available in 15 thicknesses from 1/32" to 2" and sheet sizes of 12"x12", 12"x24", 12"x48", 24"x24", 24"x48", 36"x36", and 48"x48". Additionally, etched PTFE sheets can be provided for bonding purposes, with options for further custom sizes.

PTFE Rectangular Bar

This product comes in 13 different thicknesses from 1/8" to 2" and widths of 1", 2", 2 1/2", 3 1/2", 4", and 5". The standard lengths are 12" and 48". PTFE bars are priced per foot.

PTFE Pipe

Available in four formulations: Schedule 40 FEP, Schedule 40 PFA, Schedule 80, and Schedule 80 PFA, with normal size availability ranging from 1/8" to 2".

PTFE Tubing

This product is offered in 46 different combinations, with dimensions from 1/8"IDx1/4"OD to 3"IDx3 1/2"OD and standard lengths of 6ft, priced per foot.

PTFE Tubing Metric Sizes

We provide PTFE, FEP, and PFA formulations. The metric sizes include 11 dimensions ranging from 1MMx3MM to 14MMx16MM, with imperial sizes from 0.040"x0.118" to 0.551"x0.630". Tubing is priced per foot.

PTFE Chemical Tubing

This product is available in TFE, FEP, and PFA formulations. PTFE TFE is suitable for temperatures up to 260°C (500°F), demonstrating resistance to all corrosive chemicals, making it ideal for electronic and electrical services. PTFE FEP is created from melt-extrudable resin, allowing for long continuous lengths, with slightly lower temperature resilience than TFE. Meanwhile, PTFE PFA offers good melt processability with enhanced mechanical characteristics at higher temperatures. TFE tubing comes in two formulations: Industrial Wall and Heavy Wall, while FEP and PFA tubing match these specifications.

PTFE Spaghetti Tubing

This tubing is available in 32 gauges and four wall types: Heavy Wall, Standard Wall, Thin Wall, and Light Wall. Notably, Heavy Wall comes in 20 sizes, while the others offer various sizes as well. This tubing proves advantageous in industrial applications due to its abrasion, shock, and chemical resistance, alongside impressive flexibility and temperature adaptability.

PTFE Tape Skived

Acetron contains other products and information you need, so please check it out.

Available in seven thicknesses from 0.005" to 0.060", in standard widths of 12", 18", and 24". The skived tape meets specifications for MIL-P-a and AMS, with cementable PTFE tape etched available upon request, priced per pound.

PTFE Treating Agents

There are three formulations for treating agents: ChemGrip Treating Agent, which is a high flash point etching solution designed to prepare TFE and other fluoropolymers for bonding with conventional adhesives, available in varying container sizes.

PTFE Round Beading

This miniature rod comes in 18 diameters from 0.028" to 0.200", supplied in coil form and priced per 100-foot length.

PTFE Heat Shrink Tubing

This product boasts excellent electrical properties, serving as protective see-through shields for electronic connections and jacketing in industries like aerospace, chemical, electronics, medical, nuclear, and automotive. Sizes range from 1 1/4" to 9" in diameter and lengths up to 20 feet.

TFE Glass Fabric & Tapes

Our heat seal tapes feature a smooth PTFE coated fiberglass surface that provides excellent release characteristics, designed to exhibit superior durability at high temperatures. Various thicknesses and widths are available, catering to diverse application needs.

ChemGrip Bonding Kit

This kit contains sodium etchant and epoxy adhesive for efficient on-site bonding of TFE and other fluoropolymers, with each kit sufficiently etching and bonding 2-4 square feet.

ChemGrip Cement

Our epoxy adhesive bonds treated TFE to various materials like wood, glass, metal, and ceramics. It is sold in pint containers.

FEP Roll Cover

This item shares similar properties with PTFE Tape and comes in 19 diameters ranging from 1/2" to 12.00". The AIN Plastics catalog provides pre-shrinkage and post-shrinkage ID references for convenience.
