They are suitable for surfaces that encounter rock, ore, clay, sand, or cement. Common applications include digging and crusher surfaces where sharp cutting edges must be maintained. This type of welding wire can be applied in multiple layers and may exhibit cross-check cracking. It is compatible with carbon, low alloy, manganese, stainless steel, and cast iron parts.
