What is the temperature range of graphite crucible?
Graphite | material information for our range of ...
Graphite Crucibles Grade offer high performance with good technical and economic effect. They are used in metallurgy, casting, chemical and (scientific) industry in general; they are also used to produce alloy tool steel melting and non-ferrous metal and alloy melting.

Graphite material is oxidised under heat in an air environment, so it is largely used in inert environments and vacuum applications such as in the manufacture of semiconductors and its also used by the nuclear industry. The grade material we use at Almath has similar properties to our Boron Nitride material allowing for use at extreme temperatures (up to °C), in an inert atmosphere.
Maximum service temperature is 427oC, maximum inert atmosphere service temperature is oC.
Key Benefits
- Technological Merit
- Good mechanical strength
- Long life: Due to a the excellent chemical stability, corrosion, erosion and temperature resistance, the material is afforded a long lifespan.
- High heat conduction performance and resistance to thermal shock: Possible to use even at °C in inert atmosphere, high thermal shock resistance at high temperatures.
- Excellent corrosion resistance: Resistance is excellent against a wide range of acid and alkaline environments, great degree of chemical stability.

Understanding temperature ranges in a crucible
The crucible material posses higher melting point than other material used in it for processing.Graphite crucible are high temperature resistant which are chemical and thermal shock resistant. This is ideal for the melting of Aluminium, Copper, etc.

Graphite crucible maximum temperature can go as high as °F and can be used in furnaces and high heat processes.
Graphite crucibles have many applications within the foundry, laboratory testing, valves, sprinklers, and other heavy-duty products. Graphite crucibles are not very porous.
We, at SLV Fortune Industries, specialize in Graphite crucibles of many sizes and cater to specific requirements of our clients. In order to make Graphite crucibles, Graphite is mixed with refractory clay, grog and other additives, and then formed into the crucible.
