How long does a pipe fence last?

I usually use 6 mil poly but I'll use #15 roofing felt over spray insulation or any other non breathable insulation.
I install liners for my shower floor waterproofing so that goes in first.
I've seen two methods for installing the felt, one continuous sheet going around the shower or sheets cut for each wall. (for the latter method you cut 6" wide pieces and fold and staple them in the corners first to not have a exposed corner) You always start at the bottom and overlap each sheet going up.
Most felt has lines on it that you overlap the next sheet to. (2" if I remember correctly)
For the wire it depends on which kind you use. some come on rolls, others as sheets. Same thing like the felt some wrap one continuous sheet around the shower or cut to fit each wall.
For the niche I personally use an AAMA 711 approved flashing before the wire but after the paper for my waterproofing. you could paper it and then use a paint on waterproofing after the float.
This is a pretty basic breakdown of the method but I'll try and dig up some pictures.
